AK-xolotl is a roguelite bullet hell in which the player cooks meals and nurtures baby axolotls to combine different abilities and traits. There may or may not be some guns and explosives involved as well.
I worked on a few final passes of balancing enemy and drop spawns, along with tweaking abilities and weapon stats. I co-designed the game's upgrade (cooking) system. Also, I revised hub and rooms for readability. Finally, I did a ton of QA and translated the game to Dutch, sneaking in a few puns as localization.Â
This is a couple of snapshots of some sheets I set up and used to balance a bunch of rooms in AK-xolotl. I was able to export these sheets right into Unity, setting up everything with the correct values.
